As a Maintenance Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the building and grounds are well-maintained, undertaking a variety of routine tasks and basic repairs to keep the facilities fully functional.
Main duties of the job
As a Maintenance Operative at Avery Healthcare, your focus will be on ensuring the building and grounds are well-maintained. You will undertake a variety of routine maintenance tasks, carry out checks on services, and apply basic fixes to equipment and systems to ensure the facilities are fully functional. Other responsibilities will include supporting new residents to arrange their rooms, undertaking routine re-decoration, and advising on the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks. You will also be required to provide an out-of-hours emergency service and participate in the on-call rota.
