Job summary
This Well-Being and Activities Coordinator role at Avery Healthcare's Middleton Lodge Care Home in Derby is an opportunity to make a positive impact on residents' lives every day. You will be responsible for providing a wide range of engaging and stimulating activities to support the physical, psychological, and social well-being of the residents. With a focus on understanding their individual needs and preferences, you will plan and coordinate a monthly activity and well-being program to promote privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfilment.
Main duties of the job
As the Well-Being and Activities Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include identifying the life history, needs, and preferences of residents, planning and submitting a monthly activity and well-being plan, arranging activities and events, and maintaining a safe living and working environment. You will need previous experience working with older people in a residential or nursing dementia setting, as well as excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards older people.
