Job summary

This Registered Nurse - Bank role at Avery Healthcare in Blackwater offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care to residents while working in a supportive and rewarding environment. Main duties of the job

As a Registered Nurse - Bank, you will act as the person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required and observing all instructions to act upon their behalf. Your responsibilities will include undertaking nursing tasks, advising families and GPs of any changes in resident condition, and effectively deploying and supervising the care team to ensure all tasks are completed and residents receive the required care. You will also be responsible for providing high standards of care through accurate assessment and planning.

Your focus asa Registered Nursewill beto act as person in charge,standingin for the Manager asrequiredandobserveall instructions to act upon his/her behalfwhilst youensurehigh standardsof care toourresidents.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Undertakingnursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
  • Advisingfamilies of residents andGPsof any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
  • Responsibilityfor the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
  • Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.
