Main duties of the job

As a Maintenance Operative at Avery Healthcare's Bagshot Gardens Care Home, your focus will be to ensure the building and grounds are well maintained. You will undertake a variety of routine maintenance tasks, checks to services, and apply basic fixes to equipment and systems to ensure the facilities are fully functional. Your other responsibilities will include carrying out general maintenance and repairs, supporting new residents to arrange their rooms, ensuring routine re-decoration is undertaken, advising on supply and quality of items, and providing out of hours emergency service.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Maintenance Operativewillbetoensurethe building and grounds are wellmaintained, undertaking a variety of routine maintenance tasks, checks to services applying basic fixes to equipment and systemswhilstensuringfacilities are fully functional.

  • Have a minimum of one years experience in a general maintenance or handy person role and/or hold a professional qualification in a trade.
  • Hold a full driving licence.

  • Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
