Job summary

This is a role for a Registered Nurse at Avery Healthcare's Birchwood Grange Care Home in Harrow. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to the residents, acting as the person in charge, and supervising the care team. The role requires a minimum of 2 years' experience, up-to-date knowledge of care, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Main duties of the job

As a Registered Nurse, your focus will be to act as the person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required and observing all instructions to act upon their behalf. You will ensure high standards of care for the residents, including undertaking nursing tasks, advising families and GPs of any changes in condition, and effectively deploying and supervising the care team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Undertakingnursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
  • Advisingfamilies of residents andGPsof any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
  • Responsibilityfor the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
  • Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.
