Job summary
This role as a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare's Highcliffe Care Home in Sunderland involves supporting the care team to deliver high-quality, person-centered care for the residents. The successful candidate will need to have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, 2 years' experience in a similar care environment, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Main duties of the job
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Your other key responsibilities will include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person-centered care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, undertaking staff supervisions, and acting as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and healthcare professionals.
