Job summary
This role is to work in the dementia unit at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality personal care to residents, contributing to the care team, and ensuring the continuity of services.
Main duties of the job
As a Dementia Care Assistant, your focus will be on assisting residents with their personal hygiene care, ensuring optimum independence, dignity, and respect. You will also be responsible for recognizing and understanding clinical risk areas in residents, escalating any identified risks in a timely manner. Additionally, you will be expected to act courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident, and practicing safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
