Job summary
The role of Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare is focused on supporting the care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The successful candidate will possess an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, have 2 years' experience in a similar care environment, and demonstrate strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities.
Main duties of the job
As a Senior Care Assistant, your primary focus will be to work alongside the Care team to ensure residents receive exceptional personal care. This will involve monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changes that may impact their care, and updating care plans accordingly. You will also be involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating care plans. Supporting residents with their medication requirements and undertaking staff supervisions are additional responsibilities within this role.
