Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will work as part of a team to ensure all cleaning and laundry standards are met, following established procedures and maintaining hotel-level service. This includes carrying out cleaning duties, understanding the appropriate cleaning methods for different surfaces, and respecting the personal space and belongings of residents. You will need knowledge of health and safety, particularly in areas like moving and handling, fire safety, and COSHH assessments. Experience in cleaning and laundry in a public setting, as well as the ability to be adaptive and flexible, are also essential.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home.You will operate according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are maintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
  • Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
