Job summary
This is a maternity cover role for a Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator at Avery Healthcare's Camberley Woods Care Home. The focus will be on providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the residents' physical, psychological, and social well-being, while promoting the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfilment for all residents.
Main duties of the job
As the Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for identifying the life history, needs, and preferences of residents, planning and submitting monthly activity and wellbeing plans, arranging activities and events, and maintaining a safe living and working environment. You must have experience working with older people in a residential/nursing dementia setting, as well as organizing activities and events. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and a positive attitude toward older people are essential.
