Other responsibilities will include understanding the principles of safe food handling, contributing to team working, advising on the supply and quality of items, and acting accordingly towards residents and their visitors.

  • Understanding the principles of safe food handling, to ensure all food preparations undertaken in the kitchen is to the highest standards of hygiene.
  • Contributingfully to team working, responding positively tocolleagues,and actioning all reasonable work instructions promptly.
  • Advisingon the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks, ensuring thetimelyandappropriate orderingof replacement goods.
  • Actingaccordingly towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.

  • Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate anddemonstrateshigh standardsof personal hygiene.

  • Be an efficient worker, capable ofa high levelof sustained physical effort and able torespond to a demandingworkload.
  • Demonstrate initiative and display a positive and flexible aptitude to team working.
  • Exhibit a caring andunderstanding attitude towards the residents.
