Job summary
This is a Senior Care Assistant role at Avery Healthcare's Knowle Gate Care Home in Knowle. The focus will be on supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Main duties of the job
Your responsibilities will include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person-centred care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, undertaking staff supervisions, and acting as a key point of contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, and health and social care professionals. You will need to have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, 2 years' experience in a similar care environment, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. A positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff, and the ability to be responsive and flexible are also essential.
