Job summary

This role is for a Registered Nurse to work nights at Avery Healthcare's care home in Basingstoke, Hampshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the care team, overseeing medication management, and providing high-quality nursing care to residents.

Main duties of the job

As a Registered Nurse at Avery Healthcare, you will be the person in charge during your shifts, standing in for the Manager as required. Your focus will be on ensuring high standards of care for our residents, including undertaking nursing tasks such as medication distribution, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and management of chronic medical conditions. You will also be responsible for effectively deploying and supervising the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed and residents receive the required care. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities, and sound knowledge of care planning are essential for this role.

  • Responsibilityfor the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
  • Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.
