Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and laundry in the care home. Your duties will include carrying out cleaning tasks, understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings, and ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect. You will work as part of a team to deliver hotel-quality service standards.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home.You will operate according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are maintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
  • Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.

  • The ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
