Main duties of the job

As a Registered Nurse at Chorleywood Manor Care Home, your focus will be to act as the person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required and observing all instructions to act upon their behalf while ensuring high standards of care for the residents. Your responsibilities will include undertaking nursing tasks such as medication distribution, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and management of chronic medical conditions. You will also be advising families and GPs of any changes in resident conditions, keeping them informed and involved in ongoing care choices. Additionally, you will be responsible for the effective deployment and supervision of the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during your shift and that residents receive the required care. You will be providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.
