Job summary

This is a permanent Registered Nurse role at Avery Healthcare's care home in Tile Cross. The successful candidate will act as the person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required and ensuring high standards of care for the residents. They will be responsible for nursing tasks, supervising the care team, and providing exceptional care through accurate assessment and planning.

Main duties of the job

As a Registered Nurse at Avery Healthcare, you will be responsible for acting as the person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required and observing all instructions to act upon their behalf. Your focus will be to ensure high standards of care for the residents, which will involve undertaking nursing tasks, advising families and GPs of any changes in condition, and effectively deploying and supervising the care team. You will need to demonstrate a minimum of 2 years' experience, up-to-date knowledge of care, and sound knowledge of care planning.

  • Advisingfamilies of residents andGPsof any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
  • Responsibilityfor the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
  • Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.
