Main duties of the job
As a Housekeeping Assistant, your primary focus will be to work as part of a team to maintain the cleanliness and laundry standards in the care home. You will carry out cleaning duties according to the instructions, understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and materials. Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect, and that their personal space and belongings are respected at all times. You should have knowledge of health and safety, particularly moving and handling, fire safety, and COSHH assessments, as well as experience in cleaning laundry in a public setting. Demonstrating compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality housekeeping and laundry service to residents is essential.
