Main duties of the job

As a Registered Nurse at Avery Healthcare, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to residents, including undertaking nursing tasks such as medication distribution, dressings, catheterization, and management of chronic medical conditions. You will also be responsible for supervising the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during your shift and that residents receive the required care. Your focus asa Registered Nursewill beto act as person in charge,standingin for the Manager asrequiredandobserveall instructions to act upon his/her behalfwhilst youensurehigh standardsof care toourresidents.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Undertakingnursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
  • Advisingfamilies of residents andGPsof any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
  • Responsibilityfor the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
  • Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.
