Main duties of the job
As a Senior Care Assistant, your focus will be on monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changes that impact care and care plans, ensuring new needs are met, and maintaining written records. You will also be involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating plans. Supporting residents with medication requirements and undertaking staff supervisions and development are also key responsibilities. The ideal candidate must have an NVQ Level 3 or a minimum of Level 2 NVQ equivalent in care for care homes, 2 years' experience in a similar care environment, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
