Job summary

This is a role as a Deputy Manager - RGN at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The successful candidate will support the General Manager in operating a compliant and effective person-centred care home that provides a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for residents and their visitors, while meeting professional and statutory standards and commercial performance targets.

Main duties of the job

The Deputy Manager - RGN will be responsible for providing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team, ensuring medication policies and procedures are adhered to, monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, completing audits and reports, and attending clinical meetings to monitor risk areas. The ideal candidate must have a first-level nursing qualification, at least two years' experience in a similar care environment, excellent leadership and management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively and use IT systems.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Care Home Deputy Manager- RGN will be to support the General Manager to operate a compliant and effective person-centred care home which provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment for residents and their visitors, whilst meeting stringent professional and statutory standards and commercial performance targets.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Providing on-going inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
  • Ensuring that medication policies and procedures are adhered to and support with the reviewing of medication and administration.
  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans.
  • Completing monthly audits, quality indicator report and any other report as required.
  • Attending weekly clinical meetings and monitor clinical risk areas in the home.
