Job summary
This is a permanent Senior Care Assistant role at Avery Healthcare's care home in Knowle. The successful candidate will work nights, including alternate weekends, supporting the care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents. They will have a positive, compassionate attitude and the necessary experience and qualifications to thrive in this role.
Main duties of the job
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will work alongside the care team to provide a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Your responsibilities will include monitoring residents' wellbeing, implementing and evaluating care plans, supporting with medication, and supervising and developing care staff. You will also act as a key point of contact for residents, families, and healthcare professionals. To be successful, you will need an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care, at least 2 years' experience in a similar care setting, and excellent communication skills.
