Job summary

They are now seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to join their award-winning team as the National Head of Housekeeping, overseeing the Housekeeping and Laundry Department across their nationwide network of homes.

Main duties of the job

The National Head of Housekeeping will be responsible for developing and implementing a consistent housekeeping and laundry strategy for the Avery Group, working with suppliers to create standard working practices, overseeing and supporting the housekeeping and laundry teams in all Avery homes, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements. The role will involve leading change management initiatives, delivering presentations, and being an ambassador of the Avery values.

You will develop a consistent approach throughout the Avery Group, whilst improving baseline training & development for team members. Working with agreed suppliers, you will ensure we have the best products for the best resultsOther responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the Director of Resident Experience to develop and implement a housekeeping & laundry strategy for the Avery Group.
  • Developing and working with suppliers to create a standard working practice for the Avery Group.
  • Overseeing and be the first point of contact for all Avery Group homes laundry & housekeeping teams to provide help and support.
  • Working with the compliance team to ensure our internal audit is fit for purpose for housekeeping & laundry, following up with the homes on key action plans arising from the audit to drive compliance and adherence to health & safety requirements.
  • Supporting with the induction training for all new Head Housekeepers at home level
  • Being an ambassador of the Avery Group values and to reinforce and support the implementation of the behavioural change programme within all training delivered.
