Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will be part of a close-knit team, supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care and provide a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person-centered care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, undertaking staff supervisions, and acting as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, and health and social care professionals.

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.Supporting residents with their medication requirements.Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

  • Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
