Job summary
The General Manager role at Avery Healthcare is a critical position that involves leading and inspiring a team to deliver excellent person-centred quality care to residents in a safe, caring, and stimulating environment. The successful candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience in a similar care environment, possess excellent leadership and management skills, and be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
Main duties of the job
As the General Manager, your focus will be to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality, person-centred care, while also being responsible for the ongoing recruitment, retention, and development of staff within the Home. You will act as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives, and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in the residents' wellbeing. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring safe staffing levels, providing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team, and managing costs within budgetary controls.
