Job summary

This role as a Housekeeping Assistant at Avery Healthcare involves ensuring high standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained across the care home. You will work as part of a dedicated team, following established procedures to deliver exceptional levels of service to residents.

Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant, your primary focus will be to work collaboratively to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the care home. This will include carrying out all cleaning duties as per the instructions, understanding the appropriate cleaning methods for different surfaces, and respecting the personal space and belongings of residents. You will need to demonstrate compassion, flexibility, and a commitment to providing high-quality housekeeping and laundry services.

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home.You will operate according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are maintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
  • Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
