Job summary

They are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join their award-winning team as a General Manager at their Bagshot Gardens Care Home in Surrey.

Main duties of the job

As the General Manager, your focus will be to lead and inspire a team to deliver excellent person-centred quality care to residents in a safe, caring, and stimulating environment, while meeting regulatory requirements, professional and statutory standards, and business performance targets. You will be responsible for the ongoing recruitment, retention, and development of staff, acting as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives, and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in resident's wellbeing. You will also ensure safe staffing levels, provide ongoing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team, and manage costs within budgetary controls.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality care, person centred care and ensuring residents receive care based on best practice.
  • Being responsible for the ongoing recruitment, retention, and development of staff within the Home.
  • Acting as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives, and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in residents wellbeing.
  • Ensuring safe staffing levels are reviewed and maintained in accordance with both occupancy and dependency.
  • Providing on-going inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
  • Ensuring costs are well managed and maintained within budgetary controls, by reviewing regularly and monitoring stock.
