Job summary

Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring all areas of the care home are kept clean and well-presented. This includes carrying out cleaning duties, understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and materials, and ensuring residents' personal spaces are respected. You will need knowledge of health and safety, particularly around moving and handling, fire safety, and COSHH assessments. Experience of cleaning in a public setting and a compassionate approach to delivering high-quality housekeeping and laundry services are also required.

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
  • Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
