Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and laundry in the care home. Your duties will include carrying out cleaning tasks, understanding the appropriate cleaning methods for different surfaces, and ensuring residents' personal spaces are respected. You will work as part of a team to deliver a hotel-level service to the residents.

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
  • Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
