Job summary
This is a Maintenance Operative role at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The role focuses on ensuring the building and grounds are well-maintained, undertaking a variety of routine maintenance tasks, checks to services, and applying basic fixes to equipment and systems to keep the facilities fully functional.
Main duties of the job
As a Maintenance Operative, your responsibilities will include carrying out general maintenance tasks and basic repairs, supporting new residents to arrange their rooms, ensuring routine re-decoration is undertaken, advising on supplies and ordering replacement goods, and providing out-of-hours emergency service. You will need at least one year of experience in a similar role or a professional trade qualification, a full driving license, and knowledge of health and safety, moving and handling, fire safety, and COSHH assessments.
