ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Regional Decorator will be to undertake decoration and improvement works to operational care homes within the Avery Healthcare Group.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Procurement of plant and materials necessary to undertake decoration and improvement works
• Liaison with Avery Estates, Care Home and Regional Directors to plan decoration and improvement works of the companys elderly care communities
• Preparation of Risk Assessment and Method Statements in relation to decoration and improvement works
• Regular inspection of care homes and preparation of Home Visit Reports and Scope of Work reports detailing works undertaken

• Demonstrate understanding and knowledge of a wide range of traditional building trades
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, and COSHH assessments
• Demonstrate basic practical ability across traditional maintenance tasks
• Work on their own initiative with a high level of autonomy, ensuring the best possible environment for the residents who form the community of the Avery Healthcare Group

Please note this role will require:

• A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
• Full driving licence
• There may be an occasional requirement to work outside regular working hours, and time off in lieu will be granted should the need arise.

Essential

• The ideal candidate should have a good understanding and knowledge of a wide range of traditional building trades, as well as knowledge of health and safety, particularly moving and handling techniques and COSHH assessments. They should also demonstrate basic practical ability across traditional maintenance tasks and the ability to work autonomously to ensure the best possible environment for the residents.
