They are now seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Care Assistant to join their award-winning team at their Elstree location, providing high-quality personal care and contributing to the overall care of residents during the night shift.

Main duties of the job

As a Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your primary focus will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. This will involve assisting residents with their personal hygiene, recognizing and escalating any clinical risks, and acting courteously towards residents and their visitors while respecting their dignity and individuality. You will also be expected to practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks. While prior experience is not required, you should demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, show initiative and respect, and be an efficient and adaptable worker.

  • Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.

  • Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner.
  • Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
  • Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.
