Job summary

The role of an Activities Driver at Avery Healthcare is to provide safe, timely, and courteous transportation for residents to and from various activities, ensuring they receive quality service. The successful candidate will have a PCV license with Cat D1 and an acceptable driving record, as well as the ability to react calmly in emergencies and be considerate.

Main duties of the job

As an Activities Driver, your primary responsibilities will include providing transportation services for residents, assisting them with any special needs during transportation, and focusing on driving while directing tasks and passenger interactions to onboard support staff. You will also be expected to provide miscellaneous pickup and delivery services as needed.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Activities Driver will be providing safe, timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from various activities while providing quality service.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Providing transportation services for residents.
  • Assisting residents with any special needs during transportation, such as carrying packages, opening doors, assisting residents onto and out of the vehicle, and assisting residents to the point of destination required.
  • Always focusing on driving; directs tasks and passenger interactions to onboard support staff while the vehicle is in motion.
  • Providing miscellaneous pickup and delivery services as needed.
