Job summary
This is a role for a Senior Care Assistant to support and work alongside the Care team at Avery Healthcare's Alice Court Care Home in Eastbourne. The focus will be on delivering high standards of personal care and creating a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Main duties of the job
As a Senior Care Assistant, your key responsibilities will include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person-centered care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, and undertaking staff supervisions. You will also act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, and healthcare professionals, ensuring any reasonable requests are met and concerns are escalated. To be successful in this role, you should have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, 2 years' experience in a similar care environment, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to be responsive and flexible.
