Job summary
This is a Registered Nurse - Bank role at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The role involves acting as the person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required, and ensuring high standards of care for the residents. The successful candidate will have a First Level qualification, current NMC registration, and a minimum of 2 years' experience, with up-to-date knowledge of care and relevant post-basic studies/qualifications.
Main duties of the job
As a Registered Nurse in this Bank role, your focus will be to act as the person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required, and observe all instructions to act upon their behalf while ensuring high standards of care for our residents. Other responsibilities will include undertaking nursing tasks such as medication distribution, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and management of chronic medical conditions, as well as advising families and GPs of any changes in residents' conditions and providing high-quality care through accurate assessment and planning. You will also be responsible for the effective deployment and supervision of the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during your shift and residents receive the required care.
