Job summary
The Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator role at Avery Healthcare is focused on providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the residents' physical, psychological, and social well-being. The role also involves understanding the need to promote the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfilment for all residents.
Main duties of the job
As the Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator, your responsibilities will include identifying the life history, needs, and preferences of residents, planning and submitting monthly activity and wellbeing plans, arranging activities and events, and maintaining a safe living and working environment. You will need to have previous experience working with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting, as well as expertise in organizing activities and events, effective communication skills, and a positive attitude towards older people.
