Job summary

This is a temporary Housekeeping Assistant role at Avery Healthcare's care home in Camberley. The role involves ensuring high standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained, treating residents with dignity and respect, and being adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will work as part of a team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and laundry in the care home. This will involve carrying out all cleaning duties, understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and materials, and ensuring residents' personal spaces and belongings are respected. You will need knowledge of health and safety, particularly moving and handling, fire safety, and COSHH, as well as experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting. Compassion, commitment to quality, and the ability to be adaptive and flexible are also essential.

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home.You will operate according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are maintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
  • Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
