This is a great opportunity to join Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting and delivering high-quality personal care to residents, while also contributing to a safe, caring, and inclusive environment. With a focus on person-centred care, you will work closely with the care team to monitor residents' wellbeing, implement care plans, and provide support to both residents and staff.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will be responsible for supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Your key responsibilities will include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person-centred care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, and undertaking staff supervisions and development. You will also act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, and health and social care professionals.

  • Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
  • Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  • Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
