Job summary

This Dementia Care Manager role is an exciting opportunity to join the award-winning team at Avery Healthcare, one of the UK's largest providers of luxury elderly care homes. As the Dementia Care Manager for the North Division, you will be responsible for implementing and embedding the company's dementia care strategy, managing resources, and supporting teams to deliver exceptional dementia care.

Main duties of the job

As the Dementia Care Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Dementia Care to oversee the management of the Dementia Community. Your key responsibilities will include supporting employees with dementia-specific care planning, facilitating dementia training, and working alongside teams to achieve identified outcomes for individual residents. You will also promote a risk assessment process focused on residents' abilities rather than disabilities, and stay up-to-date with national dementia regulations, policies, and initiatives to implement new processes within the business.

  • Maintaining your understanding of national dementia regulations, policies and initiatives and from this, look at ways to implement new processes or behaviours into the business

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a dementia care home environment
  • Working knowledge of regulations and legislation in relation to dementia care
