Job summary

This is an opportunity to join the award-winning team at Avery Healthcare as a Senior Care Assistant. You will be responsible for supporting the care team in delivering high-quality, person-centered care to residents, ensuring a safe, caring, and inclusive environment. The role involves monitoring resident wellbeing, participating in care planning, and providing medication support. You will also undertake staff supervisions and act as a key point of contact for residents, their families, and healthcare professionals.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant, your focus will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will be responsible for monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person-centered care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, and undertaking staff supervisions. You will also act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, and healthcare professionals.

  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  • Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
