standards of care. The home offers dementia residential and specialist dementia
care. Our Reconnect communities focus on a tailored, personal approach to care
that aim to reduce the use of antipsychotic medications and provide engaging,
and meaningful activities.
As the Home
Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home,
promoting a caring environment which provides residents with a high standard of
specialised personal health and care, promoting independence and choice. You will
focus on enabling staff to genuinely understand the needs of people and put
practical, effective care plans in place to support them individually, with the
lifestyle and activities that they choose.
You'll
inspire a multidisciplinary team to make sure they help every resident to enjoy
the best possible quality of life. That means leading by example, monitoring
standards and checking regulatory compliance. You'll set the highest standards
and draw on your skills to develop and deliver strategies that will help you
achieve your goals.

You will be an experienced leader with:
- A proven track record in achieving and maintaining Good or Outstanding CQC grades.
- Experience of budgetary control.
- Strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Effective people management skills.

Job responsibilities
1. To manage the day-to-day
running of all aspects of the home including maintaining high standards of care
and clinical quality, effective people management and communication with the
team, responsible for the excellent business management and commercial
performance. 2. Develop and maintain positive
relationships with residents, their advocates, and key external stakeholders to
achieve positive outcomes for our residents.
3. Responsible for understanding and
complying with statutory and legal requirements relevant throughout the home,
including HACCP, COSHH, Health and Safety, all aspects of the Health &
Social Care Act 2008, have a clear understanding of Infection Prevention and
Control policies, procedures, and measures to maintain a safe environment.
4. Responsible for ensuring
Orchard Care Homes governance framework is embedded and underpins the fundamental
standards expected including effective risk management.

To maintain all legal and
statutory records in accordance with current legislation and best practice.
6. Ensuring as a team, residents
individual care plans are met, this includes safe medication management and delivering
and supporting the team to deliver clinical practices such as venepuncture,
wound assessment and care and catheterisation in accordance with our policies
and governance framework.
