Main duties of the job
As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating a vibrant and enriching activities program for the residents of the Cordelia House Care Home in Fareham, Hampshire. This includes planning and facilitating a range of activities, both internally and with external resources, to promote the physical, mental, and social well-being of the residents. You will work closely with the residents to understand their interests and preferences, and to bring their ideas to life. Additionally, you will be responsible for organizing events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties, as well as arranging visits from entertainers and outings to local businesses. The role also involves providing companionship, communication, and support to the residents, and helping them maintain their independence and mobility through activities.
