Main duties of the job

As a Bank Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and personalized care to the residents in the Agincare care home in Weston-Super-Mare. This includes assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, medication management, and meal preparation, as well as engaging residents in social activities and outings. You will work closely with the care team to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.

A day in the life of a Care Assistant

  • Companionship - Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
  • Personal care-supporting with a wash bath or shower and supporting the client with dressing and oral care.
  • Medication-Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams.
  • Meals Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
  • Domestic tasks- light cleaning tasks.
  • Mobility - Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility.
  • Social activities- Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
