Job summary
This is a unique service within Chard offering supporting living, enabling people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and local community. The role involves encouraging people to play active roles in the communities, supporting activities of daily living, communicating effectively, engaging and promoting quality of life, and providing positive behavioral support approaches.
Main duties of the job
As a support worker, you will need to be enthusiastic, have great people skills, and a positive and proactive approach to your role, supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and complex needs. Your day-to-day work will involve encouraging people to be active in their communities, supporting activities of daily living, effective communication, engaging and motivating people, providing positive behavioral support, and keeping accurate records.
