Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeper at the Victory care home, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the communal areas and residents' bedrooms. What is required from you?

  • A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
  • Previous experience in a domestic or housekeeping role is desirable butnot essential
  • A good understanding of the importance of excellent infection control and the ability to work to a high standard, managing multiple tasks.
  • Good people skills and the ability to show strongempathy, with a caring andcompassionate nature
  • This is a Housekeeper role working 16 hours per week from 9am to 3pm on a two week rolling rota to include alternative weekends
  • Shift Pattern:
  • Week 1 Wednesday and Friday
  • Week 2 Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday

A day in the life of a Housekeeper

  • Communal cleaning ensure thecommunal areas are kept clean and safe for residents and employees
  • Domestic tasks -dust, polish and vacuum residents bedrooms thoroughly and ensuring use of appropriate warning signs when required
  • Collaboration - work closely with the home management team to ensure the home meets the standards of hygiene and cleanliness
  • Companionship- Providesupport, communication and engagement to residents.
