Main duties of the job

As a Care Assistant, you'll be responsible for providing compassionate care and support to residents, including personal care, medication assistance, meal preparation, and social activities. You'll work closely with the nursing and care team to ensure the well-being and independence of each individual. A minimum of 12 months' right to work in the UK is required, with 36 hours per week and bank availability, including day and night shifts.

A day in the life of a Care Assistant

  • Companionship - Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
  • Personal care-supporting with a wash bath or shower and supporting the client with dressing and oral care.
  • Medication-Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams.
  • Meals Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
  • Domestic tasks- light cleaning tasks.
  • Mobility - Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility.
  • Social activities- Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
