Main duties of the job

As a kitchen assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the chef to create healthy/balanced meals and snacks, ensuring a good understanding of various dietary requirements and allergens. You will also be required to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen area, with good levels of hygiene particularly in line with COSHH regulations and health and safety protocols. You will be expected to work as a team player, but also have the ability to work independently when needed, effectively managing your time. Additionally, you will be required to offer support, communication and engagement to the residents.
