Job summary

This is a senior care assistant role at Fulford Nursing Home in Littlehampton, West Sussex. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing person-centered care, including bathing, dressing, and medication administration, as well as leading social activities and supporting new and existing staff. Main duties of the job

The Senior Care Assistant will ensure that residents receive personal care within their preferences, actively promote right to choice and independence, contribute to and carry out care reviews, administer residents' medication safely and compliantly, lead and participate in trips and social activities, and may support new starters or existing staff with shadowing and development. They may also be called upon to lead the home when more senior managers are not available.

A day in the life of a Senior Care Assistant

  • Person-centred care - You will ensure that residents receive personal care from you and your team including bathing, dressing and oral care within their preferences, and actively promote right to choice and independence
