Main duties of the job

As a Care Assistant, you'll be responsible for providing a range of care and support services to the residents, including personal care, medication assistance, meal preparation, and domestic tasks. What is required from you?

  • Care Assistant to work 42 hours per week from 8am to 8pm to include alternative weekends
  • Bank Care Assistant, for this role you must have the flexibility to work day, night and weekend shifts as and when required

A day in the life of a Care Assistant

  • Companionship - Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
  • Personal care-supporting with a wash bath or shower and supporting the client with dressing and oral care.
  • Medication-Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams.
  • Meals Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
  • Domestic tasks- light cleaning tasks.
  • Mobility - Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility.
  • Social activities- Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
