Job summary

This is a rewarding role as a Housekeeper at The Chestnuts care home in Aylesbury, working for the reputable and growing care provider Agincare. You will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the communal areas and residents' rooms, while also providing companionship and engagement to the residents.

Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeper at The Chestnuts care home, your duties will include cleaning and maintaining the communal areas, thoroughly dusting and vacuuming residents' bedrooms, and collaborating with the home management team to meet hygiene and cleanliness standards. You will also have the opportunity to provide support, communication, and engagement to the residents.

What is required from you?

  • A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
  • 1 Part time position - 20 hours a week. This will include alternate weekends

A day in the life of a Housekeeper

  • Communal cleaning ensure the communal areas are kept clean and safe for residents and employees
  • Domestic tasks -dust, polish and vacuum residents bedrooms thoroughly and ensuring use of appropriate warning signs when required
  • Collaboration - work closely with the home management team to ensure the home meets the standards of hygiene and cleanliness
  • Companionship- Provide support, communication and engagement to residents.
