Main duties of the job

As a Care Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include providing companionship, supporting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and oral care, assisting with medication management, preparing meals, and engaging clients in domestic and social activities. A day in the life of a Care Assistant

  • Companionship - Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
  • Personal care-supporting with a wash bath or shower and supporting the client with dressing and oral care.
  • Medication-Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams.
  • Meals Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
  • Domestic tasks- light cleaning tasks.
  • Mobility - Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility.
  • Social activities- Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
